Conditions for Use: Appropriate for use on ice & snow up to 5"-6" in depth. Traction is the same as for the Quick style. Appropriate for use on moderate grades & slopes. Ideal for use on ice & snow where the depth is up to or exceeds 5" to 6" in depth. More appropriate in hilly areas and steeper grades than the Compact & Quick styles. Excellent for very wide tires. If you have a vehicle with rear drive, with little weight in the back, the Sport & Alpine Pro are best. Also great for traction on wet grass, mud and sand. Most agressive traction of all. Adjustable? Yes, each traction arm on the Compact style has a cam adjustment that is easily turned for a small or large setting. Can be changed to fit a greater range of tires than the Quick. Yes, traction bars are linked together with stainless steel links. Links can be moved by hand to other holes in the traction bar to shorten or lengthen the traction elements to fit a range of tires.
