Limited Warranty

SPIKES-SPIDER® winter traction equipment is covered by a limited 24 month warranty to the initial user beginning with the date of purchase, if purchased from us, (Southwest Spectra LLC).

This warranty covers defects in material and/or workmanship. The liability on defective merchandise is limited to repair or replacement of the defective items; at the Seller's option.

The basis for any warranty claim is compliance by the customer of the MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS and DIRECTIONS FOR USE packed with each set.

NATURAL WEAR IS NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY. Damages or malfunctions resulting from improper handling or treatment, by changes or modifications on the device or by using non-original SPIKES-SPIDER® parts are not covered by this warranty.

The requirement for any warranty claim is for the equipment to have been properly installed on the vehicle, the tires inflated to manufacturers recommended pressure, and maximum speed limited to 30 MPH.

This warranty covers only the product itself. In no event shall any claims be made for any consequential or special damages or costs.

Warranty claims must be properly reported to the US importer in writing with the following points clearly noted:

  • Make, model and year of the vehicle.
  • Tire size and type of tread (Mud & Snow, All Season, Performance or standard highway.
  • Description of road conditions when damage occurred (such as city street, paved highway, gravel road/driveway, deep snow, packed snow, ice intermittent ice and snow, primarily dry)
  • Description of general terrain (such as: normal highway, mountain grade or steep incline)
  • Driving speed when damage occurred (MPH).
  • Approximate mileage that the SPIKES-SPIDER® have been used.
  • Copy of sales receipt or invoice showing date of purchase from us, Southwest Spectra, www.spikes-spider.com
  • In most instances, we can mail you the necessary parts for you to field repair your spikes-spider set.

When you sell your vehicle and want to see if you can adapt your old Spikes-Spider package to the new vehicle, we can assist with advice and parts. If you are unable to use the old Spikes-Spider package on your current vehicle, we can assist the buyer of the used package to adapt it to another vehicle.

Most Parts Available

After the warranty period, if you need replacement parts, we have them available on our Web site and immediate shipment. All parts can easily be field replaced by you, so after you have made the investment in the Spikes-Spider package, you can protect that investment.

When you sell your vehicle and want to see if you can adapt your old Spikes-Spider package to the new vehicle, we can assist with advice and parts. If you are unable to use the old Spikes-Spider package on your current vehicle, we can assist the buyer of the used package to adapt it to another vehicle.
